Responsible business starts with clear values. TRECO's Code of Conduct sets the framework for our business and the expectations we have for our suppliers and partners.
The guidelines are based on internationally recognised principles in the areas of human rights, labor rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
We are committed to high safety standards and proper working conditions. At the same time, we work purposefully to reduce our CO₂ emissions and optimize our resource consumption. Our products exist only thanks to our dedicated employees – which is why we invest in shared well-being, work environment and development. We expect our partners to do the same, so that together we can stand stronger in the value chain.
To ensure a transparent and structured approach to sustainability, we report through EcoVadis, the internationally renowned platform that evaluates and validates companies' ESG.
TRECO has topped up a score of 50 points and we are working every day to get even better. In 2024, we achieved a Committed Badge, which is recognition of having achieved 45 points in the platform's evaluation of sustainable business operations. Our ambition is a silver medal in 2026.
We use EcoVadis because the system is widely used by our suppliers and customers and because it is a trustworthy platform that gives us an objective assessment of our efforts. At the same time, the system helps us identify areas where we can improve further.
By working systematically with EcoVadis, we continuously optimize our processes and ensure that we meet the highest standards for responsible business operations.
As a manufacturing company, a significant part of our emissions come from electricity consumption. That is why we have implemented several initiatives — for example, last year we installed solar cells, which now supply our machines with green energy.
We have also switched to LED lighting and installed motion sensors in rooms to reduce energy consumption.
At the same time, we have improved our waste sorting and management in order to increase recycling and reduce emissions. We work with partners to ensure proper recycling of materials such as flamingo, cardboard and electronics. A new press for cardboard and plastics helps us optimise transport and waste logistics — saving both CO₂ and costs.
Sustainability is an integral part of TRECO's business strategy. Our goal is not only to make everyday life easier for our customers, we also want to contribute to a more responsible and climate-friendly future. We do this by ensuring compliance, strengthening competitiveness and creating a positive difference for people and the environment.

Sustainability is not just about climate and the environment – it is also about people. At TRECO, we take social responsibility by working with companies and educational institutions to create meaningful job opportunities and ensure that more people have access to the labour market.
We offer, among other things, flex jobs and job testing and actively support apprenticeships, upskilling and development for the individual.
Our commitment also extends beyond TRECO. We support local sports associations and charities and thereby contribute to our local communities.
